Collingswood Mayfair 5K & 10K, May 25-2002

Collingswood, New Jersey

It was too bad there was no race at the beach this Memorial Day weekend because that's where most of Capital Racing's team members went.  For those who weren't at the beach or at outdoor nationals the Collingswood Mayfair races were well worth the trip.  This annual race is always a hotly contested regional event with all the top skaters from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  Capital Racing added two from Maryland.

In the 5K Capital Racing's Michael Dyas took 1st overall, and in the 10K he placed 1st in the 40 to 49 age group.  Also in the 10K Capital Racing's 15 year old Eric Lisica finished 12th overall and 4th in the 15 - 19 age group against well represented teams from Empire Speed, SOS, High Voltage and Drive Sports.

Kevin Gehman of Empire Speed took 1st overall in the men's 10K, and Samantha Carr of Empire Speed took 1st overall in the women's 10K.   Click any picture above to see it full size.  For full results visit L & M Sports.

Of course it is important to recognize what Memorial Day is about, which is neither the beach nor skating races.

Capital Racing team members use sponsor equipment including the Mogema M55tr frame, Rudy Project Ekynox glasses, K2 Mod X Pro boots, Hyper Hyperformance+G and Bank Robber wheels and Zero Drag Ultimate bearings.  Visit our sponsor page or our store.
