Caravan Race Series #4 - August 24, 2002
Caravan's luck held. No race has been rained out since the series began several years ago and the weather broke today long enough to hold the 4th in this year's series of 8 races. The next race is tentatively set for September 7th. Check back for confirmation. If the Bowie Baysox baseball team makes the playoffs we won't have the stadium that day for the next race.

The men's advanced race brought Empire Speed skater Francisco Ramirez down from NYC. Capital Racing's Juan Gomez and Jose Escobar isolated him from the pack on a break and then used the 2 to 1 advantage effectively to make the race Juan Gomez- 1st, Jose Escobar- 2nd, and Francisco - 3rd.

Capital Racing's newest team member, Ashley Camper, took 1st place in the women's advanced race with Lisa Harrison in 2nd. Capital Racing's Michael Dyas made it 4 in a row for the men's master's race with Jubran Selim in 2nd. Bob Parrillo took 1st in the 50 and over category.
